Caracterización del campo de la salud en Uruguay

Abstract

First of all I will like to refer to certain changes in the area of health. Later I will talk about certain permanencies. I'm interested in pointing out places where we can observe the resistance of the hegemony medical model characterized, among other aspects, by exercising a Principe of authority that is imposed, or pretend to be imposed from the biological aspects and the institutional and professional reason, prescinding of the opinion of the situation of a patient as a person. And also present and additional problem for the interpretation. In certain public health services, the women employees and professional, adopted anthoritary attitudes in their functions which causes doubts about the mecanicisted association, the hegemonic model is associated with males doctors. In our perspective, we think it is not enlightening to analyze the problem in terms of female versus male actors, but of the function in itself.
