Abstract

The relationships between feeding, nutrition and quality of life in urban areas has been insufficiently analyzed. However, academic groups and social sectors attention toward the issue has been growing in recent years. This paper discusses theoretical approaches to understand the concepts and the way they are linked. The economic crisis and structural adjustment have configured a social and health heterogeneous scenario in dependent countries cities. This situation produces regarding social differences among urban groups health and nutrition. Mexico City is a good example of this context
