Las ISAPRES y su impacto en el sistema de salud chileno

Abstract

ISAPRES are the private health institutions created among the militar government by the declareted objective to increase the possibility of population for accessing to health services with a better quality and near to people. Those where created with a strong criticism around the public activity that exist in health, and produced deep transformation into modifying the most important institution, the National Health Service, SNS. At the end of the dictatorship, though little changes were intruded during the Concertacion goberment, the health system remained untouchable. Althought, today many sectors perceives that all the health system is in crisis, either the public or private. This article discusses information about the ISAPRES behavior in the ninetins, to value their rol, ponderate its initial objectives and their participation on the crisis
