Los hombres que ejercen violencia expresiva en las relaciones familiares
La relación entre estructura, procesos sociales y malestar psicológico
Abstract
In studies of mental illnesses of individuals, often seen limited approaches do not consider the structural dimension between the social dimensions that explain the causes of mental illnesses of individuals. The concept of expressive violence refers to the discharge or expulsion of psychological distress, and in some acts of violence carried out by men identified their frustrations with the conditions of their living environment and social stress as the source of the discomfort. This means that the environmental conditions and social stress are variables of a general “something”, a product of micro or exo social factors in determination of psychological distress in individuals and in some cases mental illnesses, and is not considered the macro level of reality as explanation of this discomfort or within the health-disease process. This paper reflects on the relationship between social structure and psychological distress in men who use expressive violence toward family. / KEYWORDS: Men, Psychological distress, Family violence, Social structure.
