Abstract

At present, Mexico is one of the Latin American countries with the most pronounced declines in their gross domestic product, and with the highest rates of unemployment and poverty in the region. The above-mentioned manifests itself differentially in the country, widening the structural deficit, and representing an obstacle to ensure basic rights such as health care, education and food access. Young populations (12 to 29 years) have systematically suffered from the denial of these rights throughout the country. The analysis of selected indicators of a lack of availability and access to public services is used herein to demonstrate this statement. Programs looking after health care, education, nutrition and food access in young populations are the exception in Mexico.
