Grief is a state of pain. It is a proof in and for life. Its prevalence is important among an aggressive world that at the same time behaves evasively in relation with reality. Custom transmission probably has decreased deleterious effects that occur even in countries with high quality of life standards such as Finland. Colombian case is also taken into casuistry account helping to co-explain Diffuse Social Violence. Mourning is a custom, seemingly, less practiced lately in western culture. To undermine this mourning customs may massively amplify non-resolved grief with deleterious effects for general population. Conceptual review is elaborated from etymology and metadisciplinary perspective, so that links grieving with psychological, social and health issues. Suicide as in Finland example is taken into account to evaluate population mental health status. Mandatory bioethical bridges on epistemology are built to analyze taking over of this variety of pain and its typologies.
