Los conflictos de la investigación en promoción de la salud

Abstract

This paper discusses the state of the evaluation and research in health promotion. From the conception of health promotion held by the International Movement of Health Promotion triggered in the Ottawa Conference in Health Promotion 1986 some conceptual and methodological problems in this field are examined. The influence of medical paradigms, financial agencies and governmental institutions as power dimensions enmeshed in the evaluation and research in this topic are also examined.
