Entre la idea y la realidad. El componente de salud del Programa Desarrollo Humano Oportunidades en el caso de Urite en Zacatecas

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to analyze what the effects of the Human Development Program Opportunities (PDHO) are on the health of beneficiaries in Mexico. The focus of medical anthropology based on both qualitative and quantitative research was implemented. It was carried out a research between 2012 and 2013 in the community of Urite, Zacatecas in Mexico. In conclusion, it is considered that there are still major public health problems rooted in living in misery and monstrous precariousness. The Opportunities program did not respond to the basic needs of the population in the area of the health.
