Abstract
This paper presents some results of a qualitative study is about youth and health Right. One theme that emerges from the interviews is the dissemination of information to young people as a prevention strategy in health. By this purposes were applied a total of 18 semi-structured interviews with students in public education institutions in the metropolitan area of Mexico City were performed. Seven of these were group interviews (with 14 participants each) and 11 individual interviews. The strategy was applied for the analysis of the material was done as discourse analysis, which is to trace the broader social meanings from interviewees’ speeches. The results suggest that information of health targeted to young people have numerous shortcomings in its approach and in its implementation. It was also found that the transmission of information paradigm contains some deficiencies in its very foundations by not considering the subjective dimension of young people.
