Normalización y normatividad de la homosexualidad: Una definición desde el esclarecimiento de las funciones sociales de la medicina

Abstract

This paper has as objective to analyze the two social functions involved in the scientific medicine: the normalization and normativity in the human sexuality field, taking as an analytical reference the construction of the homosexuality social rejection. To accomplish that from a critical perspective, the analysis is complemented by Foucault´s theoretical ideas about power as well as the notion of hetero schema. The analysis articulates concepts such as anomaly and abnormality to understand how works the legitimation and naturalization of homophobia as well as its structuring features in the medical profession.
