¿ Acro…qué? El drama social de personas con una enfermedad poco conocida

Abstract

In this work we set out to analyze within the framework of medical anthropology, the experience of a woman who suffers from a disease called acromegaly, where is visible the abnormal growth of the body which affects not only their health, but breaks into the routine of his life, which led us to describe and analyze the impacts associated with this disease long career both in their personal spaces, and social, thinking them from the notion of experience, central shaft that leads us to approach the process health- disease-care from the theoretical and methodological proposal of social drama.
