Crítica de la razón compleja a la concepción evolucionista de la historia
Critique of complex reason to the evolutionary conception of history
Abstract
This essay is a critique from the perspective of complexity to the capitalist conception of evolution as the determining force of history. For that purpose, an analysis of the theoretical reaches of evolutionism as a sociopolitical discourse linked to capitalist liberalism was made. It was examined some of the limitations of the evolutionary-functionalist model to explain the complexity of historical phenomena. The reviewed topics suggest that the function of evolutionary biological determinism in the context of capitalist liberalism is ideological and not scientific. It concludes affirming the need to build a new understanding of the relationships between nature and culture displayed in the historical transformation, based on a complex perspective.
