Abstract

Among the many forms that migration can present, the forced deployment of population, inner migration, it’s a situation presented on the Chiapas state of Mexico since the year 1994. Situation that started with the native uprising of the EZLN (Zapatista Army of National Liberation). The purpose of this document is to highlight the Mexican persistence of the forced deployment of the population because of politic motives, along with the consequences on health matters to the population and its possible aggravation on future days to come. For this matter, we proceed to obtain and analyze secondary information from previous investigations from several authors and academics. The results showed that in the beginning of the 21st century there was over 10,000 deployed in 5 regions of the state, surviving within housing and health conditions below the minimum standards established by the WHO for this type of population. Health damages are shown in terms of a morbidity profile, de-nutrition on 5 year older and on mental illness too. Respiratory and diarrhea infections predominate, with stress and physical wear also. Amongst the 5 year older kids, high percentages of chronic and acute de-nutrition were found, above the whole national average and even above the 5 year kids from Guatemala residing in the same state. Mental health issues comprise a wide range of problems too, individual as collective
