Abstract

Abstract The aim of this paper is to elicit, from gender perspectives, some contradictory situations that paid woman workers confront during their reproductive age as they are requested noon-pregnancy prove to be hired or to maintain their paid work. This is done showing and discussing two aspects of abortion in Mexico: IMSS (Mexican Institute of Social Security) abortion attendance frequency during 2007, and the diverse legal non-punishable abortion situations in different states of the Mexican Republic.
