Jóvenes y violencia en la familia
El caso de la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana
Abstract
This study examines the perceptions of university young people with respect to family violence focussing in gender relations. Their perceptions are explored through quantitative and qualitative methodologies. This study reveals the importance of silence in familiar relations, showing that silence hides and reinforces violent relations. Finally it is said that the presence of new structures opposing inculcated familiar violent patterns represent potential counter-acting strategies for young people.
